Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DayMap application (“DayMap” or “the app”) provided by Whetstone Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using DayMap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License to use DayMap
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use DayMap on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store terms of service. This license is for your personal and internal business use.
You may not:
Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except as permitted by applicable law.
Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the app.
Circumvent or disable any licensing, security, or feature-gating mechanisms.
2. Free and paid features
DayMap is available as a free download with an optional upgrade to DayMap Pro.
The free version includes core planning features, subject to limits that may change over time (for example, a limited number of active projects or a single device).
DayMap Pro unlocks additional capabilities, which may include iCloud sync across devices, calendar sync (Apple & Google), recurring tasks, contexts, unlimited projects, and other features described in the app or on our website.
We may adjust the features included in the free and paid tiers over time. We will not remove a feature you have already paid for under a lifetime purchase without providing a reasonable alternative or notice.
3. Purchases, subscriptions, and billing
Paid features are sold through the Apple App Store using StoreKit.
Payment is processed by Apple. All purchases are subject to Apple's App Store terms and payment policies.
Subscriptions (if selected) automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Lifetime purchases are one-time payments for the features described at the time of purchase.
Managing and canceling subscriptions is done through your Apple ID account settings. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy. We do not directly process refunds.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change; changes do not affect purchases already completed.
4. Your data and responsibility for backups
DayMap stores your data on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While we design the app to protect your data, we are not responsible for loss of data resulting from device failure, iCloud issues, deletion, or other causes outside our reasonable control.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use DayMap only for lawful purposes and not to use it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the app or interfere with any other party's use of it.
6. Third-party services
DayMap relies on Apple services including the operating system, iCloud, EventKit, and the App Store. Your use of those services is governed by Apple's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.
7. Intellectual property
DayMap, including its software, design, name, and logo, is owned by Whetstone Solutions and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Content you create in the app remains yours.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
DayMap is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that data will always be preserved or synced correctly.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whetstone Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) DayMap. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use DayMap. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using DayMap at any time by deleting the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 7–9) will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, noted in the app or on our website. Your continued use of DayMap after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Virginia, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
