Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

What is DayMap?

DayMap is a personal planning app that helps you organize projects, tasks, notes, and your daily schedule in one place. Your data stays on your device and, optionally, syncs privately through your own iCloud account.

What devices does DayMap support?

DayMap runs on Apple devices — Mac, iPad, and iPhone. See the current system requirements on the App Store listing.

Syncing across devices

How do I sync my data between devices?

DayMap syncs through iCloud using your own Apple account. To use sync:

  1. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID and iCloud on each device.

  2. Turn on sync in DayMap (a DayMap Pro feature).

  3. Reopen DayMap after turning sync on or off so the change takes effect.

My devices aren’t syncing. What should I check?

  • You’re signed into the same Apple ID on both devices.

  • iCloud is enabled for DayMap in your device settings.

  • You have an active internet connection.

  • Give it a moment — the first sync can take a little longer.

  • If it’s still not working, quit and reopen the app on both devices, then email us.

Calendar

Does DayMap add my tasks to my calendar?

Yes. When you give a task a date, DayMap adds it to your calendar as an event, so your plans appear alongside your other events. This is one-way — DayMap writes to your calendar and doesn’t import your existing calendar events into DayMap.

Can I sync to Google Calendar?

Yes, through your device. Add your Google account in your device’s system settings (iPhone/iPad: Settings → Calendar → Accounts; Mac: System Settings → Internet Accounts) and turn on Calendars. Then, in DayMap → Calendar Sync, choose your Google calendar as the destination. DayMap writes your scheduled tasks there and your device syncs them to Google. The same works for Outlook, Exchange, or iCloud calendars.

My tasks aren’t showing up in my calendar.

Make sure calendar sync is turned on in Settings → Calendar Sync, and that DayMap has calendar permission (Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars). If you see duplicates or leftover events, use “Rebuild Calendar Events” in Calendar Sync. Tip: turn calendar sync on for just one device to avoid duplicates.

Purchases & DayMap Pro

What do I get with DayMap Pro?

DayMap Pro unlocks iCloud sync across your devices, calendar sync (Apple & Google), recurring tasks, contexts, and unlimited projects. The free plan includes up to five projects on a single device.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open DayMap, go to the upgrade/Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone/iPad, or App Store → Account → Subscriptions on Mac. We can’t cancel or change subscriptions on your behalf.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and — if you enable sync — in your private iCloud account. We never store your planning content on our own servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

I used the older DayMap. Will my data carry over?

The new DayMap starts fresh and doesn’t automatically import data from the previous, discontinued version. If you have important data from the old app, email us and we’ll help where we can.

How do I back up my data?

Your data is included in your device and iCloud backups.
